Primary and Junior School

Brian Haynes sent in these two photos of his time at Bevington Road School, North Kensington. He's the one marked with a white square, whilst the one marked with a white triangle is the late Barry Bolt, who was also in Brian's class at Sloane and whom Brian believes died after a road accident, although this hasn't been confirmed. The photos were taken about 1938.

I went to Munster Road School, in Fulham, before I went to Sloane. I would have been about 7 years old when this photo was taken. That's me, the brave Indian in an outfit made by Mum, holding the wolf's head that I had just removed from its body with a swipe of my trusty knife.
